Dreamy It was our first time in Marrakech and it was a dream. The riad is perfect. Beautiful and clean facilities, good location, and very friendly and accommodating staff. They were always there for us and helped us book trips and gave us tips.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

All in all, a disappointing hotel. First, the positive things. The hotel has a lovely lobby, as well as a nice rooftop pool with multiple decks. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with genuine local craftsmanship and fine fit and finish. Unfortunately, there are a lot of negatives. The riad is chronically understaffed. When we first arrived, there was no one to collect our bags or to lead us to the hard-to-find property (as promised). That night, there was only one person on staff who was running around frantically to handle all of the issues arising in the hotel. On our first morning, the breakfast room had just one server scrambling to serve everybody. Indeed, breakfasts were entirely subpar, with almost everything being too sweet, eggs undercooked, yogurt overpowered by rosewater, diluted orange juice, stale pastries, etc. Our room was quite small, and it only had one sole stained glass window looking over the lobby. It thus felt quite dark and claustrophobic. The doors are thin, so you can hear every sound in the hallway and public spaces. The bathroom was very tight and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower were exposed in bizarre, open-topped containers — seemed unhygienic. The lobby and hallways are all quite hot and stuffy, even in October, which superheated the room. The air conditioner was no match for the heat, and struggled to keep the room cool. The hotel claimed they brought in a mechanic before our second night, and there was a slight improvement, but nonetheless the AC at peak capacity barely kept the room cool enough to sleep — and this was in October. I was allergic to the hotel’s feather pillows. When I asked the front desk for a non-feather pillow, they responded not only that had none, but also that they refused to buy one (for the hotel and any future guests). (The five other Moroccan hotels we stayed in all had them). We actually had to go out and buy a foam pillow from Carrefour. I was astonished at how petty, obstinate, and uncaring the hotel was about its guests’ discomfort. All in all, a very disappointing hotel.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

An Absolute Gem & Incredible Staff For our first trip to Marrakech, we could not have asked for a better Riad than Palais Tara. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a family feeling, coziness and intricate hospitality. The room was wonderful with its antique feeling and warmth but the star of the property is the staff. For the 5 days we were there, Hasna, Ikram and the restaurant staff were simply wonderful to us and always made sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable. It is literally a stone's throw of a walk to Jemaa El Fnaa (I found a shortcut through Hasna). If I really had to nitpick on something, it is that the property does not have an ironing board/iron in the rooms. Other than that, I would without hesitation return to Palais Tara.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Beyond our expectations! The Palais Tara is ideally located 2 steps from the Koutoubia and Jemaa el-Fna square and 80 meters from the Laksour gate. The Palace is magnificent, the rooftop and its pool are TOP. But the Palace would be nothing without all the staff who give life and soul to this beautiful establishment. Everyone was very attentive to us and well beyond our expectations. Special mention to Abdoul, with whom we warmly bonded and with whom we keep and will keep in touch, thank you for everything Abdoul! I also salute the kindness, smiles, availability, and advice of Doha, Fara, Youness, Hanass... Without forgetting the invisible but very present staff who make the Palace shine and keep our room always clean and tidy as on the 1st day. Bravo to the whole Tara and Spa Team!!! We will return, God willing....Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

First trip to Marrakech Beautiful place with wonderful staff. It was in a perfect location. Quick walk to the square and near an entrance to the Medina. A pick up point for tours was nearby. I would definitely stay again.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Wonderful stay What a beautiful stay we had! Honestly, everything about Palais Tara and Spa was wonderful. Every single member of the team was so lovely, welcoming and helpful – nothing was ever too much trouble, and I really can’t say enough nice things about them. The staff genuinely made our stay so special. Breakfast was lovely every morning, the location was absolutely perfect for exploring Marrakech, and our room was beautiful, comfortable and always spotlessly clean. The pool area was gorgeous and the perfect place to come back to and relax after a long, hot day exploring the city. We absolutely loved our stay at Palais Tara and Spa, but for me, it really was the people who made it. Such a warm, friendly team who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Would 100% recommend and would happily stay again if we return to Marrakech! ❤️Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

WONDERFUL RIAD AND EXPERIENCE Absolutely wonderful everything; it is the second time we have stayed at this Riad and it is a little luxury and a hidden gem next to the square. From the building, the renovation, the interior courtyard, the rooms.. and the incredible upper terrace with its breakfasts! The team is very good, especially Abdul, and they are attentive to every detail!! They helped us completely with a problem with my ID and with everything, and they make the stay a luxury. We will return without a doubt!!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Wonderful, relaxing stay in a beautiful riad I stayed at the Palais Tara wirh my family for 2 weeks & it was just the most wonderful holiday. The location is fabulous, a 5 minute walk to the main square & walking distance to the beautiful sites in Marrakech. The staff were honestly the most pleasant, accomodating & friendly group that it was more like staying with a family than in a hotel. They were so attentive that we will miss them all. The rooms have AC & when we stayed here in mid August, it made the 43oC temperature bearable. They were always spotlessly clean & the beds are very comfy. The rooftop pool is cool & ideal for a refreshing dip after a day winding through the lanes of the souk. Overall, such a fabulous place to stay & a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here.
